about

Another song that I never managed to record properlt. This is a heavily rewritten version which some parts deleted, and the piano parts that make up most of the arrangement, as well as the drums, are played by robots. (the egg shaker was played live in the bedroom studio)

lyrics

In my dream
I was chased by trees
Axe-wielding walking trees
They ran surprisingly fast
trying to catch me
With their wooden hands
While humming a song
A scary song
With their non-human voices

Drive out the Telmarines
Drive out the Telmarines
Drive out the Telmarines
Out of this sacred country
Drive out the Telmarines
Drive out the Telmarines
Drive out the Telmarines
Out of this sacred world

So I ran to the river
But the river itself
Did to let me cross
It stared at me with ancient eyes
As if telling me you are one of those
Who’ve destroyed our world
But we’ll take it back now
So soon it’s over
With your human games

Drive out the Telmarines...

I finally found refuge
In an elfenhouse under a tree
they offered me tea and dried fruit
But they alse told me very clearly
There will be no more place for you
Unless you become one of us

Drive out the Telmarines...
